Volunteer Opportunities

Find your place. Serve with purpose.

Music Ministry

Do you have an interest in helping our Music Ministry team provide excellent, heartfelt musical worship during our Sunday gatherings? We are always looking to add people to our Music Ministry rotation. Singers, electric guitar players, drummers, etc. are invited to join in.

What is expected of our volunteers: Volunteers are expected to be proficient in whatever musical talent they are wanting to serve in and be able to practice the music on their own and come to Sunday morning practice at 8:30. This requires the ability to be in regular communication with the Music Ministry leader.

What to expect: If you reach out you will be asked to sing or play along to a song with the Music Ministry leader or to record a video of you singing or playing along and sending it in. After that, we will work with you on how and when we can best fit you into the rotation.

Schedule: We understand that this is a volunteer role and that some people cannot serve every week. We are happy to work with the schedules of our volunteers as long as there is clear and consistent communication.

Greeter Ministry

Thank you for volunteering to be a greeter on Sunday morning. It is an opportunity to bless others with your hospitality. The goal is to be welcoming, present a friendly face at the door and set a positive tone for those entering the church building.
Here are the expectations and guidelines we set out for our greeters:

  • Arrive on time. Greeting time is 9:30 – 10:10.
  • Open the door, smile, and look people in the eye as you greet them.
  • Speak a friendly greeting to people as they enter.
  • Answer questions if asked. If you do not know the answer, seek help from someone who does.
  • When possible, please try to limit personal conversations with friends and your greeting partner until after the service.
  • Pray for the greeter ministry.
  • If you find you are unable to greet on a given Sunday:
    • Let your partner know
    • Swap the date with a greeting team further down on the list
    • If at the last minute, due to an emergency, please text Ruth Eichler at 585-333-0934. Please note, I live in Canandaigua, and I am 25 minutes from the church and will not be able to step in at the last minute unless I have ample notice.
